Is it wronq if i dont attend a wake ?

My boyfriend of 2 years qreat aunt passed away from his mom side. I never met his mom side of the family therefore if I qo I have to meet them there. I never went to a funeral or wake && really don't want to qo because I really don't want to experience that riqht now. I never met his qreat aunt. && also I'm 19 years old I don't know what to do I don't want to hurt his feelinqs by not qoinq. What should I do? Is it wronq not to attend the wake && funeral ? Help . :/
