Is this a good drawing?

You have an understanding of light and shading, but to an extent. Life drawing classes would be great for you, I think you'd be off to a good start with that understanding of shading and how light hits a subject. That may seem like a minor thing but it is ideal to understand especially when entering a life drawing course for the first time! It is not bad work!
