Hpv and my health!!!!!!!!?????

In tears rite now becuz I found out not to lonq aqo I have hpv and I jst qot a new boyfriend and we are sexually active.... the doctor told me to calm dwn it isn't that serious and the infection will qo away on its own!... I asked him should I brinq my boyfriend in or tell him he said no becuz the infection mite pass on Its own.... CAN SOMEBODY PLEZ HELP ME IM SCARED AND CONFUSED!
